Iguazu Falls is the largest waterfall system on the planet
Foz do Iguacu, a major city in the state of Parana in Brazil, is the "gateway" to Paraguay and Argentina, and is also located right next to the famous Iguacu Falls. Actually, the name Foz do Iguacu means "Iguacu estuary". Foz do Iguacu, in conjunction with the cities of Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) and Puerto Iguazu (Argentina), is one of the most visited tourist destinations in South America. Iguazu Falls are rightfully considered one of the wonders of the world and it's not just about the size.
These waterfalls arose about 130-140 million years ago. Most of the waterfalls are located on the territory of Argentina, but good panoramic views open from the Brazilian coast and the famous "Devil's Throat" waterfall is better seen.
Argentines are ready to offer several options for exploring the waterfalls. The first is the so-called jungle train; it passes through the best and most interesting places in the park, stopping where more picturesque views are opened. This route option is not tedious and allows you to get acquainted with a fairly large area in a short period of time. The second option is a walking tour. It is designed for one day, and for several, suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and those who want to see the wild inhabitants of the park in their natural environment. To do this, we have developed two ecological routes: Maruku and the Green Path. Once every 10 days, visitors are offered to make an unforgettable night tour to Iguacu Falls.
Brazil is a country of amazing beauty. Dazzling beaches and endless tropical rainforests are only a small fraction of the magnificence that awaits tourists here. The Amazon River and Iguazu Falls are the most famous natural sites in the country, with 62 national parks and more than 100 protected areas. Brazil is a paradise for both ecotourism lovers and beach lovers.
Best life-changing trips
From the Brazilian side, the National Park Management Center is located in the city of Fosdu Iguacu. Visitors to this protected area can enjoy the breathtaking view of the waterfalls from the height of the birds' flight, having made a sightseeing tour aboard a helicopter. Although the area of the Brazilian park is 2.5 times smaller than the Argentinean one, it is from his side that the most spectacular panoramas of the Iguazu Falls and its pearls - the main waterfall of the Devil's Throat - open up. For a better overview, you need to climb a special panoramic glass elevator to a height of 72 m. Two sectors (upper and lower) allow you to see the overflowing streams from different observation points.
