The highest peak of the island - Mount Rinjani with a height of 3,726 meters above sea level, is an active active volcano - it is the third highest peak in Indonesia. Lombok is not so much spoiled by tourists as its neighbor Bali, but is actively developing. There are also star hotels here, but not many. Tourists are mainly attracted by nature, beaches, and the sea. The most visited are the islands of Gili, where in addition to parties, there are also quiet places to relax, where you can go snorkeling, see turtles and Rinjani National Park, there is a beautiful lake and waterfalls.

The temple complex of Pura Meru was built in 1720 during the reign of Anak Agunda. On the territory of the complex there are 33 holy relics, symbolizing the worship of three gods: Brahma, Siva and Vishnu. Religious ceremonies are regularly held in the main temple. Near the gates of the complex you can see the drums, the beating in which notifies the locals about the beginning of the service. Admission is free, but according to tradition, tourists leave small donations for the maintenance of the temple.
